A workers’ union representing SABC employees wants a commission of inquiry report into interference in the public broadcaster’s newsroom to be retracted. The Broadcasting, Electronic, Media and Allied Workers’ Union (Bemawu) is livid that some employees who testified at the commission are living in fear after their identities were revealed in the report, despite being given assurances they would be protected.
