SECOND VBS SUSPECT TO PLEAD GUILTY

A second suspect in the VBS Mutual Bank case has indicated that they will plead guilty.

This comes right after former VBS chief financial officer (CFO) Phillip Truter turned himself in last week and said he would plead guilty to all charges.

The suspect, believed to be Mattheys Gerhardus Wienekus, the former CFO of Merafong City Local Municipality – one of the 20 municipalities that invested money in VBS –
