Jaden Martin: Hi, Mike! For those who may not have met you yet, can you tell the readers what it is you do?
Mike Squire: Hey man, the short answer is cars, and anything related to cars.
From full builds to carbon printing speedo-drive gears and everything in between. I spend most weekends at the race track, and the days between that in the workshop prepping or building cars.
That’s a few job titles rolled into one! Where did the modifying, building, and working on cars start for you?
I actually grew up on motorbikes. Mum and Dad gave up a lot for us to race successfully in our early days. I remember waking up late at night, the house would stink of oil because Dad was cooking the chains on the stove in Mum’s pots. He’d pick us up from school on a Friday afternoon and drive cross country (in South Africa) all through the night so we could practise Saturday and Sunday then drive us home through the night to make school for Monday morning. Then do it all again the next weekend for nationals. That turned into building cars with him when I was about 13. Dad taught me the right direction, the dos and don’ts,
