SURF’S UP

In designing the Surf modular sofa system for Molteni&C | Dada, Canadian studio Yabu Pushelberg looked to the seas for inspiration. “With Surf, we sat in a beach house looking at the waves, and then we started to sketch them. The final design has that kind of fluidity and undulation to it,” say George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, co-founders of the firm. The collection combines curvaceous forms with a sloping backrest that makes the sofa both ergonomic and elegant.
