The Hong Kong-based designer sees streamlined silhouettes and smart technology driving the future of kitchen design. “Expect more ovens with steam cookers that can be controlled via an app on your smartphone. This will allow you to prepare your meal while you’re on your way home, so your dinner will be ready as soon as you step into your kitchen,” he adds.

Such options include the smart ovens from Bertazzoni’s Modern series. Equipped with user-intuitive features that include self-cleaning convection and Total Steam technology that uses steam to cook fast and nutritious meals, the oven can manage precise cooking sequences, functions, temperatures and timing so home cooks can produce consistently good dishes.
