Chasing Joe down the hill reveals a wealth of information, especially if you’re looking for it. The devil’s in the detail. It’s how he straightens out a kink in the trail, tucks low and hugs the smooth edge of the track, or brakes early and carries his momentum through the turn. It’s the idea that every metre of the trail requires your attention and that you need the right tactics to make smart decisions, ticking off each one as quickly as possible.
