STEPPING UP TO THE BIG LEAGUE

The last time we hung out with Laurie Greenland it was in the middle of some dark South Wales woods at the back end of

2016. The then 19-year-old had just shown the world the first glimmer of what he was capable of, putting in a monumental silver medal performance at the Val di Sole World

Champs and attacking the notoriously vicious track with such intensity that many wondered how he was still on two wheels by the bottom. Excited to witness more of this raw, unpolished talent first-hand we headed across the Severn Estuary from Laurie’s home town of Bristol to one of his favourite local haunts. The speeds at which he was smashing into ruts and threading through bar-scraping tree gaps had to be seen to be believed.
