They’re readily available in nurseries, fairly easy to grow and they are hard-working trees, with a range of seasonal attributes including interesting leaf shape and colour, highly scented corymbs of white flowers, an array of differing fruit shapes and colours, and various forms of habit and shape. Add to that their value for wildlife
