Dragonfly has 80,000 eyes
The dragonfly can travel 100 body lengths per second. To keep track of things, the fly has developed highly sophisticated vision.
A dragonfly’s eyes take up most of the insect’s head, and have the most sophisticated known version of multivision. Each of the two large eyes consists of up to 40,000 tiny individual eyes, which in combination provide the dragonfly with the sharpest vision of any insect.
