INSPIRED BY traditional gansey styles, Pat Menchini has created a handsome sweater for men, sized to fit chests of 36in to 54in. It features textured yoke sections, welt patterns around the upper sleeves and chest, and a lower panel combining knit-and-purl chevron motifs with small cables. The yarn used, ColourLab DK, is a British wool from West Yorkshire Spinners which offers smooth, even stitches, and a bouncy fabric. It comes in a range of neutral hues and more vibrant colours.
