PRESSING GARMENTS

High quality pressing is the secret to a professional-looking, perfectly finished garment, and pressing as you sew is the key. There are differences between ironing and pressing – and when you’re sewing, it’s pressing that you need! Ironing is the process of sliding the iron back and forth across your fabric, whereas pressing is placing your iron on the fabric and pressing down with some force, often applying steam at the same time.
