Kirk's Electric Lambretta LD

'LITTLE SID'

Recently an electric-start system has been reintroduced for fitting to your magneto housing; although this seems a long time coming, the system originally fitted to the LD125 Lambretta back in 1954 must have been ground-breaking for scooterlsts some 66 years ago.

Kirk is known locally among fellow scooterists as 'Captain Kirk' and with a logo on most of his scooters representing a sea captain's cap and a pipe with the words 'Th'Cap'n' it's easy to realise he's a bit of a character. He was introduced to scooters by his older brother John in 197 4 (who at the time owned a Mod Series 3 Li150) who convinced Kirk it would be a good idea
