TENSION

Tension is not critical for this project, but it may affect the yarn quantities required

MEASUREMENTS

Rug measures approx 100x145cm (39½ x57in)

NOTES

Rug is constructed from eight Square Panels, six Side Triangle Panels and four Corner Panels. All Panels are worked first, then joined together at the end.

Each Square Panel is worked in rounds of ‘blocks’, beginning with 1 block in Round 1, 4 blocks in Round 2, 8 blocks in Round 3, and so on – increasing by 4 blocks each round. Each Triangle and Corner Panel is worked in rows, with RS facing throughout.

Where working more than one colour in a round do not carry the yarn – fasten off and rejoin as required.

There is a Construction Diagram on page 88, which you will need to refer to when making up the Rug.

Hold two strands of yarn together as one throughout.
