American voice of the great outdoors, John Luther Adams is a looming presence at this year’s celebration of music by living composers. The Vale does him proud: his six-hour Veils and Vespers installation captivates Cardiff, Penarth Pier trembles to The Wind in High Places, and Bute Park is home to his percussion piece Inuksuit. And at Ewenny Priory, his Lines Made by Walking receives its UK premiere alongside the string quartet by also-featured composer Huw Watkins.
