Zoltán Kodály (1882-1967) was more than just a composer. Inof 1923, composed to mark the 50th anniversary of the union of Buda and Pest, was his first major success, followed soon after by . He took a keen interest in children’s music education, establishing the ‘Kodály Method’ in the 1940s.
