Leave them alone

I was disheartened to read of the plans by the National Trust and Woodland Trust to sterilise grey squirrels if the Defra trials of this contraceptive are successful (Clippings, March issue). Our landscape and biodiversity is constantly changing. We should accept that change is an inevitable part of the cycle of life.
