“It’s always fun playing the baddies, but I think it’s interesting for the character to be redeemed”

Last year’s season finale of was one of the most powerful we’ve ever seen on Australian TV. In the centre of it all was top dog Marie Winter, played by Susie Porter. After her dramatic bid for freedom failed, leading to several deaths, Marie was sent back to solitary confinement, with the rest of the prison baying for her blood. Meanwhile, Vera gave birth, Liz died and Joan “The Freak” Ferguson was spotted alive.
