    Beloved for nearly 40 years as Hope Williams Brady, Kristian Alfonso recently stunned the soap world when she shared, via social media, that she would not be returning to Days of Our Lives when the show resumes production on 1 September.

    “Days of Our Lives has been a vital part of both my personal and professional journey,” Alfonso wrote on her Instagram page. “I am forever grateful to NBC and the late [executive producer] Betty Corday, who took a chance on me many years ago and changed my life.
