The Moon meets the Beehive Cluster

The Moon will pass very close to the Beehive cluster, M44, in Cancer on 6 March (see page 46). A bright Moon close to dim cluster stars presents a good opportunity to hone your observing skills. Binoculars or a scope with a low power should reveal both objects, but the glare of the Moon will be an issue.
