My dream team

This dream team would be ready for the first Saturday in January. The Christmas decorations are on their way down and my tweeds are a little tight, but I’m glad of the extra fat for warmth as it’s a really frosty but dry, bright day. We are shooting partridges and pheasants on Yattendon Estate in Berkshire.

Joining me is my late father . A gamekeeper for years, he gave me my great love of country life, but in the end didn’t enjoy shooting himself. I know he’d be standing next to me with my dogs and would want to see the day.
