SOW FOR SPRING
Pop a few seeds of colourful annuals like cornflower (), marigold (), love-in-a-mist (Nigella) and larkspur () in pots or beds now. They’ll develop a root system before winter sets in, giving them a head start on spring-sown annuals. Flowers will appear much earlier. Sow in weed-free, fine soil or compost, about 5cm apart and ½cm deep.
