was reflecting after reading your Rivaldo 315. It described how he was the real star of Brazil’s 2002 World Cup winners, but despite racking my brains, all I can remember of him was that play-acting against Turkey. It made me wonder if there are other players unfairly remembered for a single incident at a major tournament. Nigel de Jong for his best Bruce Lee impression in the 2010 World Cup Final? Zinedine Zidane for nutting Marco Materazzi in ’06? If that’s the case, it’d be a shame.
