THE LONG RANGER
The history of my thoughts on Husqvarna’s 701 Enduro looks something like this. Oooh, what’s that? I then rode it and thought, That’s cool but I don’t get it. I rode it again and still didn’t get who this bike was for. I’m not a smart man, but I really did feel it was hard to define what or who this bike was for. It was clearly an attempt at an enduro/ adventure hybrid but it didn’t excel at either in stock trim.
Then in 2019 (ah…what a comparatively trouble-free year that was), I took part in the inaugural Husky 701 Enduro Trek. I saw how various riders set up their 701s and got to put a week in the saddle, during which I got to know the bike better. I got a greater understanding of where this bike fits into the grand scheme of things and what it's capable of. The Trek is also one of the great rides that you really need to drop into your bucket list if you’re a 701 owner — great crew and great tracks.
NOW WITH ADDED ADV

Where the claim of being adventure-ready could be shouted down due to the lack of fuel
