SOUTH Africa has six neighbouring countries that share its border. Last week we looked at Namibia, Botswana and Zimbabwe – our northern neighbours. This week we explore Mozambique, our eastern neighbour, the mountain kingdom of Lesotho, which is completely surrounded by SA, and the Kingdom of eSwatini ( formerly Swaziland), which is bordered by SA and Mozambique.
All these countries have close ties with SA. About 400 000 Mozambicans were living in South Africa last year, according to the United Nations. Let’s find out more.
