Slicing beats in Cubase

01 Create a new Cubase project. Click the + icon at the top of the tracklist to open the Add Track panel. In the panel, select the Instrument track type, then choose Groove Agent SE. Click Add Track to create the new track.

02 Open the Pool window by selecting Pool from the Project menu or pressing Ctrl-P/Cmd-P. Right-click anywhere in the panel and select Import Medium. Import a drum-loop file. A live-played loop will work best.
