CP Lee

January 19, 1950 – July 25, 2020

Manchester-born Christopher Paul Lee enjoyed a varied professional life, working as an author, broadcaster and lecturer as well as playing music. His group Alberto Y Los Trios Paranoias released three albums between 1976 and ’78, and found chart success through lampooning some of their contemporaries; Heads Down No Nonsense Mindless Boogie, an expertly delivered, playful poke at Status Quo, took them into the singles chart in ’78. Lee was 70 at the time of his passing.
