CARL TRIUMPH STREET TRIPLE RS

TIME ON TEST: ONE MONTH

01442 ODOMETER MILES

BHP: 121 GAIN: 0

NEXT AIM: MILES, MILES AND MORE MILES…

THIS MONTH I HAVE MOSTLY BEEN… Getting jiggy with it!

For me, picking up a long-termer is one of the highlights of the year. I mean, it’s not like a normal test bike that we have out for a week or two; with the added time and Termer fleet: everyone, meet the Triumph Street Triple RS. Okay, it’s not as daft as a supernaked, nor savage as a supersport, but its silky smooth triple motor combined with that sublime chassis really do make a real mean combination… especially when you take into account that you also get some seriously well-sprung pogos, Brembo brakes and tidy electronics (including a shift and a blipper) for just a nip over £10k. Although to be honest, I really couldn’t muster up the same enthusiasm for that yellow paint job. Alas, it’s still been long overdue, and after the amount of manure that 2020 has thrown at us so far, I’m just happy to be able to be back out on two wheels again.

MV Agusta Enduro Veloce
MV Agusta's a bit behind the curve when it comes to hardcore adventure touring machinery: its Turismo Veloce had a bit of an adventure angle, but you'd never take one up a green lane. Better late than never, though – so we're well chuffed to see this
