As our governments have walked away from our inland road and rail networks our competitors are busily building efficient supply chains.
Today, global grain production is around 2.75 billion tonnes, with wheat making up approximately 750,000 tonnes of the total. By 2030, it is predicted to be 3.1 billion tonnes and by 2050 to have grown to four billion tonnes with globally traded production more than doubling to around one billion tonnes a year.
