    In more than 25 years of holidaying, I can’t quite believe I’ve never been on an all-inclusive resort. Camping, self-catering and DIY holidays are our norm, so the idea of a luxury all-inclusive is a dream come true.

    Mark Twain wrote: ‘Mauritius was made first and then heaven, heaven being copied after Mauritius.’ And he was right. This island jewel in the Indian Ocean sits 20 degrees south of the equator, and its glorious weather makes it a year-round paradise. The south is densely tropical, with palms, ancient banyan trees, vines and flowers to enjoy along winding coastal roads.
