It’s summer’s end but there’s no ebb in the tide of ready-to-pick, seasonal flowers on Rachel Siegfried’s flower farm, Green & Gorgeous. Colour-saturated dahlias, her main floristry ‘focal’ flowers, are supported by a throng of ‘fillers’: jewel-coloured alstroemeria, magenta cosmos, ruddy rudbeckias, froufrou zinnias and golden sunflowers. Ripening hips and berries, whips of feathered grasses and silvery eucalyptus add layers of texture and make a good foil for the kaleidoscope of colour.
