Sam sails a blinder

British sailor Sam Davies showed her experience as she gave the latest cutting-edge IMOCA 60s a run for their money in a 10-day warm-up for the Vendée Globe.

An exhausted Davies admitted she felt like “toast” as she finished fourth in her 10-year-old IMOCA, Initiatives-Coeur, after 3,600 miles of intense racing from France to Iceland and back.

She crossed the line less than two hours behind leader Jérémie Beyou on Charal, and she was beaten
