Final days on the Solent for INEOS

INEOS TEAM UK have been putting in some long days on the water, including one day of more than 200 miles, as they get in their final testing on the Solent before packing up and heading to Auckland.

The British America’s Cup team, led by Sir Ben Ainslie and four-times Cup winner Grant Simmer, plan to be sailing until early August from their Portsmouth base. Britannia, their first boat, will then be shipped to New Zealand, due for arrival mid-September.

Meanwhile Britannia II, which they intend to race in the Prada and then America’s Cup next March,
