• 1.1m (1 1/4yd) light blue mottled print fabric (background and Border 2)

• Fat eighth each of three tone-on-tone purple print fabrics (seahorse bodies)

• Fat sixteenth purple and blue print fabric (seahorse fins)

• 55cm ( 5/8yd) mottled purple print fabric (Border 1 and binding)

• Batting at least 140cm (49in) square

• 32 squares, 5in of assorted print fabrics (Border 3) — a Charm Pack would work well

• 2.5m (2 3/4yd) backing fabric

• Three 6mm ( 1/4in) flat black buttons (seahorse eyes) — see Note
