MIKE MCCORMICK

Mike McCormick, who signed an MLB contract out of high school and went on to be the first Cy Young Award winner for the San Francisco Giants, died of Parkinson’s disease on June 13 at the age of 81.

McCormick was only 17 years old when he became a major leaguer, bypassing the minors and playing right away
