‘Princess Beatrice and Mr Mapelli Mozzi have been touched by the warm wishes they have received since their wedding’

Their secret wedding took many by surprise, and now Princess Beatrice and her new husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi have shared stunning new images of their big day. The photographs, which have brought joy to royal watchers the world over, show the couple looking utterly in love, including one of the groom gazing adoringly at his beautiful bride, and another of them arriving at their reception after their 17 July nuptials.

Meanwhile, proud mother of the bride Sarah, Duchess of York last week thanked well-wishers for their kindness towards her and the newlyweds.

She tweeted: “Thank you to all the special and kind people that took the time to send amazingly caring and supportive messages. Never has a mother been more proud than the wedding of Eugenie and Jack and again with my Beatrice’s loving wedding to Dear Edo.

“I am so lucky with my girls and the best sons-in-law.”
