GRAND PACIFIC DRIVE
For a shorter but no less scenic trip, this drive makes for a great weekend adventure from Sydney.
Allow at least three hours for the 140km coastal drive which takes you from the Royal National Park, south to Wollongong, Shellharbour and Kiama (home to the famous blowhole) to the pristine beaches of the NSW South Coast. A highlight of the journey is travelling over the Sea Cliff Bridge and, of course, putting your toes in the chalk-white sands of Hyams Beach in Jervis Bay.
