How to create a sustainable home: WINDOWS AND HEAT

Over the course of this series we’ve looked at issues from site selection and construction methods to insulation and airtightness. All of these are crucial to consider, but arguably windows are one of the most important issues of all. By letting in light and heat, they provide an indefinable sense of comfort. Get them wrong and thermal efficiency is compromised, views are obscured, and connection with the outside world is lost, which can have a negative impact on our wellbeing.
