Eat your way to healthy ageing

A dietician recently told me a wonderful story about ageing and mindset. In her experience, a lot of what holds us back as we age is simply the belief we have to slow down. “We think we can’t do it anymore, when in actual fact, people find when they’re on holiday, that oh, I actually did climb that hill,” Lisa Renn, an accredited dietician and spokesperson for the Dieticians Association of Australia, explained. “We put limitations on ourselves that we don’t need to have there.” Our bodies change as we age, of course, but the key to maintaining the lifestyles we love is to ensure we’re eating nutrient-rich diets and staying
