One of the great things about the classic Mini scene is its diversity. It caters for all tastes: from purist to punk; rat to retro; classic to competition; trashed to trailered, etc. Yes, this is a scene that’s home to a diverse bunch of enthusiasts and a diverse bunch of cars. Take Paul Parsons’ bright orange lowrider for example.

A mechanic by trade, Paul purchased this Mini Mayfair in 2018; it’s the second Mini he’s owned. “When I married Maria, twenty-four years ago, our daily driver was a Mini,” recalls Paul smiling. “But it’s only recently that we got back into Minis. Jane, our daughter, drives a 1990 Flame Red, and her boyfriend, Jordon, has a 1988 Jet Black.”
