Maid of Veryan comes home

hen boatyard manager Matt Lis at the Woodbridge Boatyard on the River Deben heard about a Deben 4-tonner built in 1949, was owned by yacht historian and ex- technical editor John Leather. He bought her as a family cruising yacht when his children were young and called her “the best cruising yacht we have ever owned”. The boatyard now needs a new owner to restore her. The mahogany hull is sound and she has many original features, including bronze cleats and winches, and a Baby Blake loo. There are some sails in reasonable order. Initially bermudan rigged, she needs a new mast, so the new owner can choose gaff or bermudan rig. See for more details.
