Housed in Dubbo’s landmark Post Office and Clock Tower buildings, The Exchange takes its name from the telephone exchange that it also once proudly accommodated. The delivery of connectivity and community embodied in a telephone exchange was very much at heart when Jillian Kilby of the Infrastructure Collaborative engaged s.t.udio Sally Taylor (SST) to transform the Heritage building into a co-working space. Having grown up in the region, Sally Taylor, principal of SST, was cognisant of both the building’s status and the need for an almost gateway approach to the project, whereby all parts of the business community would be at ease.
