The cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason was born in Nottingham in 1999. Aged 17, he won the 2016 BBC Young Musician competition and in 2018 played at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. He was a member of the majority black and minority ethnic, and was awarded an MBE earlier this year. His acclaimed second album, was released in January.
