The Big Butterfly Count takes place between 17 July and 9 August. Last year’s survey showed our butterflies had their best year since 1997.
A wet spring and summer sunshine seemed to provide the perfect tonic for many of our resident butterflies after the potentially very damaging drought in summer 2018. Butterfly Conservation reported excellent results
