Gerard Stamp is Norfolk by birth, education and love of predecessors such as J. S. Cotman. Together with Turner, Bawden, Constable, Piper, Seago and, of course, Cotman, he provided the illustrations for Peter Tolhurst's excellent (2019; Black Dog Books, £30) and Mr Tolhurst has written an introduction to the catalogue for the show, which travels beyond East Anglia.
