Caught a Shibi, Made a Friend
’d like to share the story of a fish that I caught on May 15, 2019. That was at the time. I caught the 34.5-lb shibi (according to a scale that I have at home) on my favorite whipping setup: a Major Craft SPX PE1 MH rod; a Shimano twin power XD 4000 reel spooled with 20-lb test J-Braid and 20-lb test J-Line leader; and a Daiwa SP Minnow Lure. I have some video and photos that hikers visiting from Florida took of me and my catch.
