As the world slowly starts to recover from the tumultuous past few months, the new buzzwords flying around are the ‘new normal’.

COVID-19 wreaked havoc across the globe, both in terms of health and welfare but also in the economy, our work life and our leisure time. Being unable to leave our homes apart from essential services, let alone being forbidden to travel domestically or overseas, has been a shock to the system.

But, as we re-emerge and restrictions begin to ease, Australians are starting to reconstruct their lives and concoct travel plans for when state borders open and movement becomes much less restricted.

The shine has faded from overseas travel for the moment, which is great news for the Australian tourism industry and businesses which rely on it to make an income. More Aussie travellers will help make up the huge shortfall in money usually brought in from overseas travellers.
