CRICKET 19

When searching for a cricket tie-in, it’s tempting to go back to , a game so heinous that all trace of it has been scrubbed from Steam. But is good, and something of an antidote to a summer spent without the reassuring crack of leather on willow. There’s enough depth for tactical play and the systems feel intuitive. But my favourite thing is how long it takes. Even the short form version of the game, Twenty20, will eat up a significant portion of an evening, and that’s widely considered a reductive coin-toss by Test Match purists. This doesn’t feel like a finessed, big-budget release, but the love for the sport is evident in every meandering over.
