Knocking on my daughter’s bedroom door, I listened to hear what she was doing.
‘The support worker is here,’ I told her softly.
Paige, then 16, opened the door, sulking.
‘I’m not going to college!’ she fumed, slamming the door again.
We’d recently moved to a new area, and Paige was furious.
I could see why. We’d had a chaotic few years, circumstances forcing us to move from town to town. By October 2017, Paige was at the end of her tether.
