When it comes to decorating with colour, interior designer Sarah Vanrenen is not one to err on the side of caution. Take the kitchen in the Wiltshire farmhouse she shares with her husband Grant Barker, their one-year-old son Alfie, and Grant’s sons Fred, 21 and Arthur, 16. One side of the room, including a large built-in banquette seat, is painted a punchy shade of teal. “I wanted a colour that would really offset the art,” Sarah explains.
