Wake up and smell the lavender
WHILE doing major renovations to my son’s Georgian house, attention was directed to two ancient lavender plants in front of the house. When an expert plantswoman friend of our builder saw these, she was quite excited and believes they are likely to be the oldest recorded lavender plants, at more than 100 years old and with stems as wide as a man’s forearm.
